flea market finds!

Happy Sunday everyone! Hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Today we're (once again) joining in on Sophie's Flea Market Finds. There are tons of lovely treasures to be seen via her Blog by clicking here. We love reading through them all & am sure you will too :)

I (Krystal) didn't have too much luck op shopping this week, have been busy busy preparing for our market stall that we had today. What I did manage to find during my quick op shop visit was...

Two handmade wooden (what I think) are cutlery draw organizers. I'm going to do something cute to them & hang them to display my cute, little ornaments.

Pretty vase. Flower-leaf-thingies picked on my way home.

Close-up of the sweet flowers on the vase.
Pretty fabric :)

What op shop treasures have you found recently? Feel free to share in the comments, or link up over at Her Library Adventures or Apron Thrift Girl.

flea market finds!

The fam & I went up to Hervey Bay for the weekend. And so it seems Hervey Bay peeps donate amazing stuff & sell even more amazing things at garage sales. What a weekend of awesome, awesome treasure finding! Ive never found so many awesome goodies in one morning before..my inner treasure addict was going crazy-happy! Enough chatter...have a squiz at what i picked up!

Our cat, Lilu, was obviously feeling a tad neglected :)

Little owl & deer ornaments (50 cents each!). I especially love the judge owl. I already have a couple of this style of owl ornament which you can view by clicking here. If you look closely at the 3rd pic, they are sitting on my mini coloured set of drawers :)

Unsure whether these little guys are ceramic or clay, either way they're cute :) Picked them up for $6 for all of them, including the shelf.

Sweet little picture for my inspiration wall.

Little donkey ornaments, aren't they the sweetest!

I almost fell over when I saw this deer planter, then I almost fell over again when i saw the price - $1.00!!

My partner, Shane, spotted this one for $5! I totally walked past it. I love Shane :)

Weird but cute looking cat ornament, the eyes/whiskers etc of which washed off when I cleaned it after I took these pics :( Can you tell I love cute/kitsch ornaments? Also a vintage kiddies Fisher Price radio, working condition.

 Back of the radio.
Edited to add: Everything in total cost no more than $25 :)

And just for good measure, another pic of Miss Lilu napping whilst i was taking photos. She melts my heart with her cuteness.

Thanks for stopping by & viewing the treasures i found. Pop by Her Library Adventures & Apron Thrift Girl for more Flea Market Finds!

flea market finds!

After many, many months of reading Sophie's blog 'Her Library Adventures', we're finally taking the plunge and joining in on her 'Flea Market Finds' :)
Op shopping/flea marketing is one of our absolute favourite things to do. Not only does it inspire & motivate us to make new creations, but we get to find amazing goodies...some days more so than others.
Today I (Krystal) would like to share with you all some treasures I've discovered the past couple of weeks...

Uber sweet vintage buttons. They were all in a jar & had no price, I asked the shop lady & she said $3!! I was stoked! I cant wait to use these in some upcoming projects. Pretty plate they are on i found months ago, cant remember where though.

Excuse the lack of ironing, but i was taking photos on limited time whilst Felix was eating his lunch. This is a scarf i picked up at my local Salvos for 50cents. I'm planning on either framing it, or popping it on a canvas. The words are so, so cute!

Left pic: Some lovely coloured necklaces, pretty doiley, and a cute ceramic elephant money box. I seem to be collecting ceramic ornaments similar to this little one lately.
Right pic: Mustard yellow vase & a blue scalloped ceramic container. This is my most favourite find of the year so far i believe. I'm still unsure as to what I'm going to use it for though...jewellery, cookies, buttons?

Pop by Sophie's for more lovely Flea Market Finds :)

retail therapy

Ive come to the conclusion that op shopping fixes everything. Ok, maybe not everything, but it sure does help me take my mind of my yucky sickness. Ive had a sore throat & icky nose for a few days now..not long i know, but still isn't fun. So yes, op shopping = win. I scored some AMAZING things. Can't wait to share photos once i take some tomorrow! I also discovered a new little secret shop that has a lovely stash of vintage buttons, def one of my new fav shops.

You may be wondering...how did all this op shopping take place without Felix having a 'shopping is boring mum' tantrum. He had his 3rd day of child care today. Every wednesday Mr.Felix puts on his little elmo backpack, gets his little shoes & socks on and goes off to child care. It's so cute. Everything he takes has to have his name on it...it kind of feels weird writing on a banana lol.

Ever since he started going he has loved it :) I was worried he would miss me too much...obviously not! :p I do love all the kisses i get from him when i pick him up though, even the slobbery ones. He's yet to bring home a painting, i can't wait!

I shall end my post today with a funny lil pic i took of mr.felix on the weekend...he can be quite the character :)
