all flooded out

Last Saturday we braved the wet weather & headed out to Chandler Markets to set up our stall. We awoke bright & early (4:30am to be exact), sleepily got ready & headed out. The weather was looking lovely, after over a week of rain it seemed to be blue skies - yay we thought! About half an hour after setting up, the rain returned...heavily. We had to yell to have a conversation. After much contemplation, we decided to pack up early. Even though the day ended early, we still had a fun time like we usually do when we attend the markets :) Thanks to the peeps who popped by to say hello & pick up some Felix & Lily goodies :)

Here's a few photos from the day, excuse the lighting, rainy weather doesn't make for the best quality...

Yummy market food is the best, especially on a rainy day!
We hope to be back at the markets again soon, fingers crossed its a perfect day :)

Krystal & Lauren.

PS: if there's anything you spot in the photos you would like, send us an email/leave us a comment & we shall get back to you asap.

newbies

Happy Saturday everyone! :) It's a very rainy day here in Brisbane..perfect for crafting & drinking hot tea. I just wanted to share some new fabric buttons I made this morning with help from Felix. And by 'help' I mean him saying 'ooh pretty!' & trying to grab everything hehe. I'm working on some new creations for our stall tomorrow. Fingers crossed the rain passes!

These are my favourites, little mushrooms & piggies...

Lovely florals & sweet polka dots...

Buttons = LOVE.

All of these are going to be turned into sweet little clippies :)

Some hair ties, the babushkas are quite popular...

Thanks for stopping by :) What are you up to today...making something special, Christmas shopping perhaps? Or are you like me & leave it until the last minute :)

busy bees

Leading up to Christmas, both myself & Lauren have been busy little bees stocking our Madeit store with new goodies. We've also been back at the Markets after having a couple of months break from them. There's nothing quite like having our creations 'out there' & seeing peoples reactions face-to-face when they see them. It's such a lovely feeling for us both to know that our creations are loved as much as we love making them :)

Our next Market stall is this Sunday the 5th December at Chandler Markets. It's one of our favourite to attend as there is such a wide variety of things to be seen. Ranging from fresh fruit & vegetables, handmade crafts, pretty ornaments & knick knacks, fresh flowers, & preloved goodies...these markets have it all! There's also live music, awesome food & a jumping castle for the kiddies every week :)

All of the lovely items pictured in this post are now available in our Madeit store, which can be viewed by clicking HERE.
Please note: that to ensure you receive your order by Christmas Day, all Madeit orders must be placed & paid for by the 17th December.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend!
Krystal & Lauren.

To market, to market..

On Saturday we went to the lovely BrisStyle Indie Eco Market. We especially love these markets as it showcases all local, handmade and ethical goodies. After almost a week of rain, it was the perfect day to get out of the house and do a little bit of shopping...i mean, ah...browsing ;)

Yummy red lolly twists...yes, it was only 10am at the time of consumption. Oopsies :)

These amazingly awesome creations are made by Teneale at Wicked Child Designs. Each one has its own little 'story' which is unique & hilarious in its own way :) We love them!

These are the guys from Top Gear! Awesome much?!

We met the lovely Jess from Epheriell Designs which was awesome after chatting heaps on Twitter the past few months. Her stall looked stunning and so well set up. If you haven't already seen her handmade jewellery, click here. Totally worth a squiz :)

Pretty brooch Lauren wore..handmade by herself :)

The weather is sooo nice at this time of year to go marketing and we're hoping to go to many more. As buyers and sellers...yep, that's right peeps, we'll be back at the markets soon...keep an eye out for further updates :)

What markets have you been to recently?

Lauren and Krystal.

happy saturday!

Good morning all :)
Today is going to be filled with crafting, lots of hot tea & more crafting. We are having a stall at the Bubz 'n' Kidz market tomorrow at Alexandra Hills, very much looking forward to it. Both Lauren & I have lots of new goodies to show everyone, some of which will be listed on our Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Felix-Lily-Handmade-Wearables/190171653751) over the coming few days.

Speaking of our Facebook page, we have only EIGHT 'likers' to go until we hit the big 1,000! How exciting! :) We will be having FREE standard postage for whole week within Aus once we do!

I still am amazed at how well we have done :) What started as a little something we did during nap times has turned into a full on little business venture for us both...thank you everyone for supporting us <3

I shall end my post today with a pic of my latest obsession...musk lollies...nom nom nom
