craft room envy

How perfectly cute is craft room!  It's owner is Kaylah, from The Dainty Squid. Her blog has been a favourite of mine for well over a year now, definitely a source for inspiration & cuteness. I totally love her style & am mega jealous of her ornament collection.

most. amazing. fabric. stash. ever.

why hello little owl :)

You may have seen little peeks of my craft room over the last few days if you follow me on Twitter. I've been spring cleaning, and gosh it feels good :) Hopefully it stays clean for longer than a few days this time. I don't know about everyone else, but my craft space gets messy so quickly.

I'm off to bake some raspberry cupcakes, yummy :)
Happy Sunday everyone.

pretty prints

I'm a huge fan of pretty & whimsical prints. Whilst browsing Etsy recently, I stumbled across this gorgeous store. Hand illustrated by Katie Vernon, the images speak for themselves...

My favourite is the little hedgehog, I just want to squish him!
These lovely prints and more can be found via her Etsy Store HERE. Katie also has a blog which can be viewed via THIS link :)

Which one is your favourite?

so lovely

A few things I'm loving & feeling inspired by today...

Mega cute deer notebook from Candy Stripe Cloud. Their sticky notes are really cute too, especially the panda ones!

It's a bow, its knitted & its a necklace! Eeee! Made by the oh so lovely Kim Whalen of Kute Kiwi. If you don't already follow her blog, then you totally should. High five for awesome, crafty Kiwis! (I was born in Wellington)

'CreatiAve Odyssey' is an amazing blog hop created by Jess of Epheriell Designs. Over the course of four weeks, selected bloggers will be blogging about their creative dreams & goals for 2011. Reading through them so far, I'm speechless as to how many talented & positive peeps there are out there :)

Can this Christmas tree deer ornament get any sweeter?! Made by Skunkboy Creatures.

What is this giant cookie-like-cake you see above you may ask? It's a huge Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake. Did someone say heaven??? You can find the recipe HERE.

This pretty, vintage cocktail dress.

What's inspiring you today?

flea market finds!

After many, many months of reading Sophie's blog 'Her Library Adventures', we're finally taking the plunge and joining in on her 'Flea Market Finds' :)
Op shopping/flea marketing is one of our absolute favourite things to do. Not only does it inspire & motivate us to make new creations, but we get to find amazing goodies...some days more so than others.
Today I (Krystal) would like to share with you all some treasures I've discovered the past couple of weeks...

Uber sweet vintage buttons. They were all in a jar & had no price, I asked the shop lady & she said $3!! I was stoked! I cant wait to use these in some upcoming projects. Pretty plate they are on i found months ago, cant remember where though.

Excuse the lack of ironing, but i was taking photos on limited time whilst Felix was eating his lunch. This is a scarf i picked up at my local Salvos for 50cents. I'm planning on either framing it, or popping it on a canvas. The words are so, so cute!

Left pic: Some lovely coloured necklaces, pretty doiley, and a cute ceramic elephant money box. I seem to be collecting ceramic ornaments similar to this little one lately.
Right pic: Mustard yellow vase & a blue scalloped ceramic container. This is my most favourite find of the year so far i believe. I'm still unsure as to what I'm going to use it for though...jewellery, cookies, buttons?

Pop by Sophie's for more lovely Flea Market Finds :)

cute planters!

1. vintage coffeepot by greenappleworkshop 2. flamingo by pennyzw 3. large brown owl by spicyvintage 4. lavender bunny by paroliro 5. kitsch deer by compostthis 6. my little owl planter :)

Ahh yes, my recent gardening urge has lead me to the wide (evil) world of Etsy. How cute are these planters though! The bunny one is my fav, & of course the little owl that is mine :) The cactus that is in it i planted only yesterday, it's called a "Echinopsis" & hopefully will be growing some pretty flowers one day soon.

I'd love to see any cute planters y'all have! Or even ones you have come across on the net :)
